How to Install Prefinished Hardwood Floors

Step 1: Prepare the Subfloor

For the final row, you may need to cut the planks to fit the remaining space. Measure and cut the planks accordingly, making sure to leave the necessary expansion gap. Use a pry bar or pull bar to fit the final row into place.

Step 8: Finishing Touches

Once all the prefinished hardwood flooring is installed, remove any spacers and install baseboards or molding to cover the expansion gap. Clean the floor thoroughly to remove any dust or debris.

Step 9: Enjoy Your New Floors

Allow the prefinished hardwood floors to settle for a few days before placing heavy furniture or rugs on them. Once settled, you can enjoy the beauty and durability of your newly installed floors.
